I did ski at Dizin in the middle of March 2010 on the way back home to Tehran from Caspian sea, north of Iran.
Dizin is surely best in Middle East, if we don't say in Asia, regarding variety of slopes, altitude, sun-shine, people hospitality etc....
If the equipment is renewed and more extended, it will be number one in region up to Balkan countries and Causus ranges in Russia.
There are two roads to Dizin:
    1. the main road to Chalus (Caspian Sea) which you turn to Velayat rood after Gachsar area, it will be around 110 km from Tehran!
    2. The road in roodbar ghasran, pass through Shemshak and end to upper parking of Dizin in winter time, which is 65km from Tehran roughly! This road is shorter and more popular to use. But the problem is Avalange! All skiers say why they don't make some Galleries at the point of accidents where usually Avalange take places? This year, around one month ago, this phenomenon killed some people again and some others wounded! and this is repeated senario yearly and nobody take care !?
I hope the organs who are responsible for..., pay attention to that, and prevent of unpleasant accident,s repetition from now on...
Gallery structures are not so expensive even the resort can do that for it's interests and benefits, and absorb so many skiers from this short and available route! most people prefer to ski at Shemshak and Darbandsar because of said road Avalanges!!!
By the way, try Dizin even with it's available possibilities and fun... and remember 40 years ago and the ones who established such a resort for healthness of the people and youngs to avoid them from ruined drugs!

It's so good to ski there at Dizin. You can sleep as much as you want and drive at 10.30; reach around 12. Ski for 3 hours and when you are starving you can eat at Kouhestan (chelokabab) and you can be on time for your daily task (lol) The only problem is the long queues!! which thank to Islamic Republic ladies queue is always shorter than gents. Have fun!!

Dizin is the best skiing resort not only in Iran but also in the whole of Asia. Believe me, I've just spent days in any good resorts in whole Asia but not one like Dizin. So I just have to say one thing here: enjoy every minute you're in Dizin.

Dizin is one of the best slopes you could go to. I go to Dizin around Christmas holidays every year. I have been doing so for the last 10 years. I enjoy every single thing about it. I usually stay in the hotel Dizin for about 10 days. most of the time my problem was food since I am very picky about what I eat and I used to get sick every time I ate at the hotel! But this year something came to my rescue and I advice all of you people to visit this place. It was called Lotus Complex, about 3 minutes drive from the hotel and the food was just amazing and don't let me start on the atmosphere and the design. You should definitely pay a visit next time you are in Dizin.

*** important: this place is only reachable via the (jade paen) or when you are staying in Dizin.

    Pros for Dizin:
best and biggest ski resort in Iran
have variety of ski path so everyone, from beginner to adv, can enjoy
    beautiful scenery,
    better facilities, restaurants, toilets ...
    Cons for Dizin:
    overcrowded at weekends
    far from Tehran
both roads to Dizin are not that good. Getting back to Tehran at weekends is a nightmare (both road and cable car)
    ....
    tickets 20$
renting equipment from 10-25$ - request haggling

Actually Dizin is considered as one of the best skiing places in the world. You'll have the possibility both for skiing and snowbording in a place which you can find a variety of high and low angle slopes, bumps, nice views, ....
I believe that Dizin has also a good potential of attracting people because of its type of anow and it's easy access to the capital.
There are some hotels in the area which makes possible for night stay.
The main problem of Dizin is the poor facility of carrying people and low capacity of machines which leads people to spend lots of time in queues waiting for their turn. Of course, this problem becomes worse in weekends.

    Enjoy Dizin
    Mohammad

After Canada, the Iranian quality of snow (Dizin) is the best in whole world. Giant Slalom, slalom, snow boarding… every thing is possible in Dizin international resort. Very nice place and good people. I have tried European resorts before and honestly I think you enjoy more in Dizin. Just try it once and you will be back here each winter.

I would like to give you same information about Dizin ski pistes.
When you reach there it has 6 ways to ski and I believe that (Gavazni)is the best part. Then you go to (Resturan Vasat) and then turn left and go for 300 metres.
I hope you can enjoy skiing there at Dizin.

BEST PLACE EVERY from UNITED KINGDOM

This was the first time that I have been skiing, but had been snowboarding before. To be honest I wasn't expecting much from Dizin, but once we arrived and got on the slopes, I loved every moment of it.

As it was my first time skiing it got a 3hr lesson. The only problem I found was that my instructor didn't speak English, but after 1hr or so I realized it wasn't such as problem. Although my Farsi is very poor, I found that people there were extremely friendly and helpful.

Overall, I spent 4 days at Dizin (3 weekdays and 1 weekend) and although the weekend was busy, the queues were not as bad as I had expected.

Overall, I love my time at Dizin and would definately go back each year.

I just loved Dizin as it has some of the best powder conditions for snowboarders I've ever experienced. Go to Dizin on weekdays to avoid queuing (caused due to slow lifts, not due to crowds that are still moderate). But even if you can only go there at the weekend, the excellent snow quality (especially off-piste riding) is recommended and Dizin is really worth the line up. The friendliness of the Iranians is unmatched. I've been to many countries and always felt welcomed but this really has beaten everything I've seen so far. So go to Dizin and enjoy the perfect powder and the hospitality of the Iranian people. You will love it.

    Khoon Lim from SINGAPORE

23 of us from Singapore were at Dizin from 20 to 23 December. It was fantastic and every single one of us enjoyed the experience, from the beginners to experienced skiers, although the beginners did find it difficult as what was the beginner slopes were not as easy as most other resorts.
We stayed at the Gajereh Resort, which was about a 5 minute drive to the slopes. The 2 bedrooms apartments were huge and can easily fit up to 10 persons.
Everyone we encountered were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, and all in all, we would highly recommend the experience.

Dizin is one of the best pistes in the Middle East; even better that many Asian countries. You have a long way from the top to bottom with different kinds of surface like smooth, bumps & .... you cab enjoy it from mid Dec to Feb, even in March depending on the snow condition.

Very Dissatisfied from UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Whilst the snow was amazing at Dizin we couldn't even use it.

Our tour group was most dissatisfied with the resort and the ski federation for that matter. Whilst we were told that the resort was open we sat for 3 days because someone decided it was not worth opening the lifts for purely financial reasons.

Very frustrating. If you want a reliable ski resort I would go elsewhere.

Well, as we all know, Dizin is amongst the best ski resorts in the world, as far as it's ski season and snow quality. The good thing is it's altitude which is located above the tree line level so you ski free with no hassle at all. Some experts call it the fifth largest ski resort in the world where no snow making machines are available. Please check at tellone.ir to see how our products can make your skiing day more and more fun.

    Liam O'Boyle from UNITED STATES

My country is listed as US, but I'm from New Zealand :)
Anyhow, I've just had four days at Dizin and it was absolutely great. I happened to be there over No Ruz, the Iranian New Year, so the rates were at the weekend rates (95,000IR rather than IR80,000) which is still peanuts compared to most international rates.
The conditions were great. Incredible off-piste riding with soft powder all over.
On-piste riding was not as good, due to very infrequent and limited grooming. The pistes rapidly formed rather unpleasant mini moguls, which were annoying to ride on when clouds interrupted visibility.
There are no learner slopes at all, so the pistes tend to be crowded with learners even on moderately advanced slopes, so you have to keep an eye out.
Excellent size field, with plenty of variety in terrain.
All over, the best field I've skied on to date :)

Dizin can also be reached fron Chemshak but in the winter months this much shorter road is often closed. Anyways, the two roads leading to Dizin are in a high avalanche zone. One must avoid driving to these resorts in climates and periods of high risk. The resort itself offers beautiful long sunny runs and perfect dry snow. Mount Damavand can be seen from the summit.
